TESTIMONIAL

László T. Szabó, visual artist (Kiskőrös, March 22, 1953)

He lives in Tapolca, where he is closely associated with the creative circle of the First Hungarian Sight Collection in Tapolca-Diszel. By now, many of his works are part of the Sight Collection's collection.

As a painter, László T. Szabó has evolved from a traditional artistic career starting in the mid-1980s to the highest level of individual expression by the 2000s.

To me, he is the artist of surprises. He surprises with his thoughts, his slightly ironic, philosophical outlook on life, and not least with his works, thanks to his frottage technique.

Over the past four decades, his works have been featured in numerous domestic and international exhibitions and can be found in private collections both in Hungary and abroad.

Since 2010, through his restoration work, he has played a significant role in the daily life of Csigó Mill.

In recent years, László T. Szabó has participated in both solo and group exhibitions in our gallery. In 2023, as part of the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture event series, he was one of the artists from the Balaton Uplands exhibiting in the group contemporary international exhibition organized by the Csigó Mill Cultural and Art Center Foundation.

His works will continue to be on display at Csigó Mill in 2024.
